Moustache Bikes Clutch 160.9

The Moustache Clutch 160.9 is a purpose-built enduro eMTB designed for technical trails and demanding mountain days. Its 6061-T4/T6 aluminium frame integrates both the 780 Wh battery and the Pinion MGU E1.12 motor unit directly into the main triangle, lowering the centre of gravity and shielding these components from trail impacts. The Pinion motor produces 85 Nm of torque at the motor — rising to 160 Nm via the internal gear reduction — delivering smooth, powerful assistance on steep climbs without any abrupt surges.

The drivetrain ditches the conventional chain-and-derailleur setup in favour of a Gates CDX Carbon Drive belt paired with Pinion's fully internal 12-speed gearbox. The result is a system that requires no lubrication, minimal cleaning and almost no adjustment over time — a genuine advantage for riders who prioritise time on the bike over time in the workshop.

Suspension is handled by a RockShox ZEB Ultimate fork offering 170 mm of travel up front and a RockShox Vivid Ultimate shock providing 160 mm at the rear. Both are set up to Moustache's own specifications for the added demands of an electric enduro bike. The mullet wheel configuration — 29" front for roll-over ability, 27.5" rear for snappier handling — runs on Mavic XM1030 tubeless-ready rims wrapped in Maxxis Assegai MaxxGrip DoubleDown 2.5" tyres, a combination chosen for maximum grip on loose and rooty terrain.

The FIT Master Node Display is neatly integrated into the top tube, keeping ride data visible without cluttering the bars. The KS LEV Integra dropper post adjusts its travel to suit each frame size, ranging from 125 mm on a size S to 200 mm on an XL, for quick saddle drop on demanding descents. Available in sizes S through XL, with a verified weight of 27.4 kg in size M.
