The Riese & Müller Charger5 vario HS is a diamond-frame speed pedelec built to swallow long daily distances at 45 km/h. Four frame sizes (S, M, L, XL) fit riders from 1.60 m to 2.10 m, with weight kept between 28.5 and 29.1 kg depending on size.

The Bosch Performance Line Speed motor assists up to 45 km/h and delivers 100 Nm of torque — strong pickup from a standstill and on climbs, even fully loaded. The Bosch PowerTube 800 Wh battery sits horizontally inside the frame, and an optional Bosch PowerMore 250 Wh range extender takes the total to 1,050 Wh.

The drivetrain pairs a Gates Carbon Drive CDX belt (55T front, 24T rear) with the Enviolo Utility V1 continuously variable hub, operated by an Enviolo Twist Display Pure grip shift: no gears to count, no chain to lube, and shifting is possible at a standstill. Up front, the Fox AWL 34 fork (air, 100 mm, Boost) and the By.Schulz G.2 ST suspension seatpost smooth out rough tarmac, on 27.5" wheels shod with Schwalbe Super Moto-X tyres.

Braking is handled by Magura MT4 / MT5 discs, with the Bosch eBike ABS available as an option — a genuine safety gain at 45 km/h. The rider interface combines the colour Bosch Kiox 500 display with the Purion 200 handlebar remote.

Standard equipment leaves little to add: Riese & Müller MIK rear rack, Supernova M99 Mini Pro-45 headlight and TL3 Pro S tail light with integrated brake light, Curana mudguards, Ursus Invisible Connect kickstand, horn, mirror, ABUS frame lock with chain and bag, and the RX Chip to lock and locate the bike from your phone.
