Description
The Tern NBD P8i is an urban electric bike designed to make city commuting genuinely easy. Its very low-step 6061 aluminium frame — EFBE Tri-Test certified to 140 kg — and 20-inch wheels make it quick to mount and easy to handle in traffic. A single frame size accommodates riders between 147 and 190 cm.
Power comes from a Bosch Active Line Plus motor producing 50 Nm of torque and up to 270% assistance, giving you light, responsive starts at traffic lights and steady support on any incline. The Bosch PowerPack 400 Wh battery also feeds the Tern Valo Direct front light (190 lumens) for safe night riding. The Bosch Intuvia display keeps everything at a glance: four assistance modes and a walk-assist function for navigating car parks or steep ramps on foot.
The Shimano Nexus 8-speed hub paired with a KMC e-bike chain means you can change gears while stationary — ideal at red lights — with very little drivetrain maintenance. Shimano hydraulic brakes provide strong, progressive stopping power in wet or dry conditions. And where roads get rough, the Tern RideEasy suspended seatpost absorbs vibration so you arrive comfortable.
Day-to-day practicality is baked in: a Gaia rear rack rated to 27 kg, a vertical-parking kickstand, and an ABUS lock that shares a key with the battery. The NBD P8i is the kind of bike that handles the details so you don't have to.
