Description
The Brompton C-Line Tour de France is a 2025 limited edition that brings together Brompton's London craftsmanship and the visual heritage of cycling's most celebrated race. The frame is hand-brazed at the Brompton factory in London using thermally treated steel tubes — a process that delivers a characteristic ride quality that steel fans know well: responsive, durable, and forgiving over rougher surfaces.
The rear of the frame carries a thermal sublimation photographic print featuring images by photographer Pauline Ballet — riders and fans from the Tour — while the fork and front frame are finished in Leaders Yellow, the colour of the maillot jaune. Handlebar grips, Brompton logo and front mudguard flap complete the yellow-on-black palette, right through to the custom Selle Royal saddle with Tour de France topography-inspired typography.
The 6-speed Brompton Wide-Range transmission combines a 3-speed internal hub with a 2-speed derailleur for a 300% gear range — enough to tackle the varied gradients of city riding without fuss. Schwalbe Marathon Racer 349 x 35C tyres with tan sidewalls balance rolling efficiency with everyday puncture resistance. The Brompton front carrier block is included, so you can attach a Brompton bag or basket directly without any adaptor.
Folded, the bike measures 585 × 565 × 270 mm — compact enough for public transport and car boots. The Brompton multi-tool and puncture kit are stowed inside the frame, ready when needed. With production limited to a small run in 2025, this model appeals equally to Tour de France enthusiasts and urban riders looking for a folding bike with a story to tell.
