Description
The Velo de Ville FOLDY is a non-electric folding bike engineered in Germany for riders who refuse to choose between practicality and cycling pleasure. Its OneSwing mechanism folds the entire bike in one fluid motion — no fiddling, no losing drivetrain tension — making it genuinely fast to deploy on a crowded platform or pack into a car boot.
The 16-inch wheels are fitted with Schwalbe Big Apple tyres (55 mm), which offer a surprisingly smooth ride for their size. A rear elastomer unit, tucked neatly between the aluminium frame's rear triangles, takes the edge off potholes and cobblestones without adding the weight or maintenance of a full suspension fork. Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes provide reliable, modulated stopping power rain or shine.
The aluminium frame weighs in at around 13 to 14 kg depending on configuration, and a telescopic seatpost and stem make the single frame size genuinely suitable for riders between 155 cm and 200 cm tall. The VDV rear rack features built-in wheels and is MIK HD compatible, so you can tow or wheel the folded bike through a station as easily as rolling a suitcase.
Every FOLDY is built to order at Velo de Ville's German facility, with a palette of over 30 gloss and matt colours to choose from. This configuration is finished in French Lavender gloss.
