The Brompton New C Line « With Rack & Dynamo Lights » in Amethyst Lacquer is a manual folding bike built for urban commuters who want reliability and practicality without sacrificing aesthetics. The transparent lacquer finish over the steel frame reveals the hand-brazed joints — a hallmark of Brompton's London factory craftsmanship — giving the bike a distinctive violet shimmer.
Brompton's fold is one of the most compact in the industry: in under 20 seconds, the bike reduces to 645 × 565 × 270 mm, a footprint small enough to stand upright without support and fit in most car boots or under a desk. The 16-inch (349) wheels fitted with Schwalbe Marathon Racer 35C tyres roll efficiently on both wet and dry surfaces.
This configuration adds two genuinely useful daily features: Dynamo Lights SV8, a front and rear lighting system powered directly by a hub dynamo — light comes on automatically as you ride, with no batteries to replace — and a rear rack compatible with Brompton accessories, letting you carry a bag or load without throwing off the bike's balance. The telescopic seatpost allows quick height adjustment without tools.
This is a non-electric bicycle: there is no motor, no battery and no pedal assistance. It is a fully human-powered machine designed for low-maintenance urban use over the long term.
