Description
The Cube Acid 200 Disc is built for children aged roughly 5 to 8 who are ready for a real bike — one that can keep up with them on gravel paths, school runs, and weekend adventures. The Aluminium Lite 6061 frame keeps weight down to 9.1 kg, which matters when a child has to pick the bike up or manoeuvre it in tight spaces.
The standout feature is the braking system: Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes (160/160 mm front and rear) deliver consistent, controllable stopping power that rim brakes simply cannot match. Children can modulate their braking smoothly, reducing the risk of locking a wheel on a slope or a slippery surface. This is a genuine safety upgrade, not a marketing badge.
The 7-speed Shimano drivetrain — RD-TY300 rear derailleur with Revo Shift SL-RS45 twist shifters — gives young riders an intuitive way to change gears. The Sunrace 13-34T cassette provides enough range for varied terrain, while the Prowheel A105 chainset comes with a chainguard to prevent the everyday frustrations of caught trouser legs and derailed chains.
The 20-inch CUBE DB29 rims are fitted with Meghna 20×2.10" tyres, wide enough to smooth out bumps and handle light off-road use. The bike supports a maximum rider weight of 40 kg, making it a solid companion for several years of riding.
