The Cube Kathmandu Hybrid EX 800 is an electric trekking bike designed for riders who rely on their bike day in, day out — whether commuting across the city, heading to the shops, or exploring unpaved tracks on the weekend. The Bosch PowerTube 800 Wh battery sits fully integrated inside the aluminium frame, keeping the bike looking clean while protecting the battery from the elements.

Power comes from the Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 5 motor, which delivers 85 Nm of torque — enough to handle steep climbs and fully loaded starts with ease. The Shimano Cues 11-speed groupset, operated via Rapidfire-Plus shifters, lets you find the right gear quickly without interrupting your ride.

Comfort is built in at every level: the SR Suntour Mobie 35 EQ Air fork offers 100 mm of travel to take the edge off rough surfaces. Stopping power comes from Magura MT C ABS hydraulic disc brakes with 203 mm rotors — reliable and well-modulated whether you're braking gently or hard.

The Kathmandu EX 800 feels stable and planted on mixed surfaces, whether on tarmac or gravel. The frame also features a Cube Integrated Carrier 3.0 built right in, so you can carry your gear without bolting on extra racks. Available in sizes S through XL.

Shimano Cues CS-LG400, 11-50T

The cassette built to survive an electric bike. The Shimano CUES CS-LG400 in 11-50T is an 11-speed cassette built around LINKGLIDE, the technology Shimano developed specifically to answer the problem e-bikes create: a motor that delivers torque constantly wears a drivetrain out far faster than a human leg does. In practice, LINKGLIDE claims up to three times the tooth life of a conventional Hyperglide cassette under high chain tension. The teeth are thicker and the shift ramps redrawn to absorb shifting under load — the kind you make without thinking mid-acceleration, motor at full assist, and which destroys an ordinary drivetrain. Shifting is also smoother in both directions, with noticeably less shock through the pedals. With an 11-13-15-17-20-23-26-30-36-43-50 progression, it covers the ground without gaps: closely spaced ratios at the bottom of the cassette to hold a steady cadence on the flat, and a 50-tooth sprocket so you are never stuck on a climb, loaded or not. It requires a LINKGLIDE drivetrain (matching CUES derailleur and shifter) and takes either a LINKGLIDE or an HG 11-speed chain.
