The full-composite Advanced-grade fork with OverDrive steerer and 12x100 mm thru-axle delivers precise steering and stiff braking response, while the Shimano 105 hydraulic disc brakes with Shimano SM-RT64 160 mm rotors give you consistent, modulated stopping power regardless of weather. The Shimano 105 2x12-speed groupset — including derailleurs, shifters and an 11-36 cassette — provides smooth, reliable shifting across a wide gear range.
Fitted with Giant Gavia Fondo 1 700x32c tubeless tyres, the Defy Advanced 2 lets you run lower pressures for added comfort and reduced puncture risk. The frame accepts tyres up to 40 mm wide, giving you flexibility to adapt the bike to rougher roads. The D-Fuse composite seatpost with its built-in 14 mm offset flexes subtly under vertical impacts, acting as a passive suspension element where your body needs it most.
