Description
The Giant Defy Advanced Pro 1 is a road endurance bike designed for riders who want to go the distance without sacrificing performance. Its Advanced-grade carbon frame, built using Modified Monocoque construction, strikes a deliberate balance between stiffness and compliance — efficient when you push hard, comfortable when the kilometres stack up. The Advanced SL-grade composite fork with full-composite OverDrive Aero steerer and 12x100mm thru-axle keeps steering precise and planted.
Comfort is engineered into the bike's DNA through Giant's D-Fuse technology. The Contact SLR D-Fuse handlebar and the D-Fuse seatpost work together to dampen road buzz before it travels into your hands and back — a real advantage on long rides or rougher tarmac. The Giant SLR 1 40 Carbon Disc wheelset features hookless rims with a 22.4mm internal width, accepting tubeless tyres up to 38mm. Running a wider tyre at lower pressure adds a further layer of natural cushioning.
The SRAM Rival AXS E1 drivetrain is fully wireless and electronic. Shifting is triggered by a single button press, with no cables to stretch, fray or adjust. The SRAM Rival E1 DUB 33/46 crankset comes with an integrated power meter — useful for structured training or simply for keeping tabs on your effort over a long ride. The 12-speed 10-36 cassette provides a wide gear range suited to climbs and long flat stretches alike.
Braking is handled by SRAM Rival AXS E1 hydraulic disc brakes, offering precise, progressive modulation whether you're descending in the dry or navigating wet roads. The Defy Advanced Pro 1 is available in Midnight Moon, in sizes S, M, ML, L and XL.
