Description
The Giant Glory Advanced is a dedicated downhill bike built for riders who demand performance on the most technical terrain. The Advanced-grade carbon frame features Giant's Maestro four-pivot suspension with 200 mm of rear travel, designed to smooth out rough ground while maintaining efficiency on the flat. The frameset comes in at 3,200 g for size S/M (without shock) — notably light for a full carbon DH frame.
Three flip chips let you dial in the geometry to suit your riding style: one governs rear wheel size compatibility (27.5" or 29"), another adjusts reach by ±5 mm through the headset, and a third tunes the wheelbase via the dropout. Out of the box, the Glory Advanced runs a Mullet configuration — 29" front wheel for straight-line stability, 27.5" rear for nimble cornering — with a straightforward conversion to full 29" available.
The component spec matches the ambition of the frame: Fox 40 Factory fork (203 mm travel), Fox DHX2 Factory coil shock SLS (custom-tuned by Giant from 425 to 475 lbs depending on size), SRAM GX Eagle DH 1x7 drivetrain with 11-25 cassette, Shimano Saint M-820 hydraulic brakes (220 mm front rotor), and Maxxis Assegai and Minion DHR II tyres in 3C MaxxGrip DH compound — tubeless-ready from the factory.
Giant TRA 2 hookless alloy rims (30 mm internal width) and an MRP SXg chain guide with bash guard round out a package built for committed descending. A full down tube protector is included as standard to keep the carbon safe on rocky terrain.
