Merida BIG NINE 10K

The Merida BIG NINE 10K is a 29" cross-country race hardtail built for riders who demand both speed and precision on technical terrain. The CF5 III carbon frame runs a Boost axle standard and clears tyres up to 2.4", striking a balance between structural stiffness and tyre volume flexibility that suits everything from hard-pack trails to loose, chunky XC courses.

The drivetrain centres on the Shimano XTR Di2 M9250 wireless groupset — rear derailleur, shifters and a 9-45T 12-speed cassette. Electronic shifting removes the variables of cable stretch and manual barrel-adjuster tweaks: every gear change is instant and repeatable whether you're grinding up a steep climb or sprinting out of a switchback. The Shimano XTR M9200 crankset comes with size-matched crank arms (170 mm for S-M, 175 mm for L-XL).

Up front, the Fox 32 SC Factory fork delivers 100 mm of travel with a two-position remote lockout — open for technical sections, locked for efficiency on smooth fire roads. Reynolds Blacklabel 309 XC Pro carbon wheels (30 mm internal width, lifetime warranty) and Maxxis Rekon Race 29x2.4" WT tubeless-ready tyres round out a wheels-and-rubber package that prioritises traction and rolling speed in equal measure.

The cockpit is fully carbon with an FSA SIC CF one-piece bar (760 mm wide) and an FSA SL-K carbon seatpost. Progressive XC geometry uses Merida's Agilometer reach-based sizing system to keep proportions consistent across S, M, L and XL frames.
