Giant Talon 2

The Giant Talon 2 2025 is a hardtail mountain bike built for riders who want to get on the trails without having to swap out key components straight away. The ALUXX 6061 aluminium frame features a tapered head tube for a stiff, responsive front end, while the coil-spring fork with 15x110 mm Boost thru-axle keeps the wheel planted and steering accurate on uneven ground.

Tektro HDC M275 hydraulic disc brakes with a 180 mm rotor up front and 160 mm at the rear deliver consistent, modulated braking whether you're descending loose singletrack or wet gravel paths. The microSHIFT Advent 1x9 drivetrain, equipped with a clutch derailleur, reduces chain slap and dropped chains on technical sections. The 11-46t cassette provides a wide range of gearing to handle both steep climbs and fast descents.

Maxxis Rekon Race 29" x 2.4" tyres (27.5" for XS/S sizes) roll efficiently on hardpack while gripping confidently on looser surfaces. Double-wall Giant GX03V rims and a 12x142 mm rear thru-axle round out a durable, trail-focused build. Available in Dried Matcha gloss and in five frame sizes from S to XXL, the Talon 2 is a solid starting point for trail riding at any level.
