Description
The Merida MATTS J. 24+ is a 24-inch youth mountain bike built for kids who are ready to tackle real terrain. The TFS 6061 double-butted technoformed aluminium frame keeps weight around 10.1 kg while remaining stiff enough to handle trail riding with confidence.
Braking is handled by Tektro HD-J2820 hydraulic disc brakes with short-reach levers — a thoughtful choice for smaller hands. Paired with 160 mm rotors front and rear, they deliver consistent, modulated stopping power whether the trail is dry or muddy.
The Microshift Acolyte 1x8 drivetrain removes complexity: one shifter on the right, an easy-to-read gear indicator, and an 11-38t cassette that handles both steep climbs and flat sprints. Maxxis Pace 24x2.10" tyres round out the package with dependable traction across a variety of surfaces.
An adjustable alloy kickstand is included as standard, and the bike fits riders standing between 129 and 137 cm tall. A solid, well-specified choice for the 2026–2027 season.
