Description
The Merida Reacto ONE represents the pinnacle of Merida's fifth-generation aero road platform. Designed for riders who demand tangible performance gains, it tips the scales at just 7.4 kg (size M, complete with power meter and 160 mm rotors) — a remarkable figure for a disc-brake aero road bike at this level. The CF5 carbon frame, weighing approximately 950 g on its own, is paired with the Reacto CF5 V Disc fork for a combination that is stiff, aerodynamically efficient, and precisely responsive. Wind tunnel testing by Tour Magazine (GST facility) recorded 196 W at 45 km/h, placing it among the most efficient aero frames available.
Shifting is handled by the Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 12-speed groupset with Shimano Dura-Ace disc Di2 levers, working in tandem with the Classified Powershift Hub. This intelligent rear hub delivers a gear range equivalent to a double chainring setup, while keeping the drivetrain visually clean and mechanically simple with a single front chainring. The Rotor crankset integrates a double-sided power meter as standard, giving riders accurate bilateral power data without any additional outlay.
Braking is provided by Shimano Dura-Ace hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotors front and rear. Merida's Disc Cooler technology — heat-dissipating fins built directly into the frame — keeps braking performance consistent during sustained descents where heat build-up can otherwise cause fade. The DT Swiss ARC 1100 Dicut DB 65 carbon wheels (tubeless ready) provide a deep 65 mm aero profile, shod with Continental tubeless-ready tyres (700x29C front, 700x30C rear), with the frame cleared for up to 700x32C.
The integrated Merida Team CW AERO 1P carbon cockpit and the lightweight Merida S-FLEX carbon seatpost (~106 g) round out a bike where every component earns its place. Available in Warm Slate Grey (Red), in sizes XXS through XL.
