Merida SILEX 9000

The Merida SILEX 9000 is a high-end gravel bike designed for riders who push beyond paved roads. Its CF2 carbon frame keeps weight low while maintaining the stiffness needed for efficient power transfer, and the integrated Disc Cooler fins — CNC-machined aluminium fins built into the frame near the brakes — dissipate heat during sustained descents where braking is continuous.

Shifting is handled by Shimano GRX Di2 in a clean 1x12 setup. The electronic drivetrain removes the guesswork from gear changes, and the Shimano CS-M8200 10-51T cassette gives you the range to tackle steep climbs without sacrificing top-end speed on flatter sections. Hydraulic disc brakes from the Shimano GRX825 groupset, paired with 180 mm rotors front and rear, deliver consistent, modulated braking regardless of conditions.

Reynolds BL ATR Expert CL carbon wheels (700c, 25 mm internal width, 42 mm profile) are fitted with Maxxis Rambler 700x45C EXO tubeless-ready tyres — a pairing that balances rolling efficiency with grip on gravel and hard-packed dirt. The Easton EC90 AX carbon bar and Metron RS carbon seatpost round out a contact-point package that takes the edge off long days in the saddle.

The SILEX 9000 is built with load-carrying in mind: five pairs of bottle cage mounts, mudguard and rack eyelets, internal dynamo routing through the fork, and a Fidlock bottle base with bottle included. A Merida multitool is stowed neatly beneath the saddle. Available in six sizes (XXS to XL) in the striking Halo Green Fade colourway.
