Description

The Riese & Müller Carrie2 City is a compact electric long-john cargo bike — load in front, rider behind — built to take on the daily errands and school runs that would otherwise require a car. At 209 cm long, the aluminium frame (80% recycled material) handles a total system weight of 200 kg, meaning two children plus a week's shopping is well within reach.

At the heart of the drivetrain sits the Bosch Performance Line PX motor: 90 Nm of torque and up to 400% pedal assistance. Whether pulling away from traffic lights with a full load or tackling a ramp, the effort remains natural and controlled. The Bosch PowerPack Frame 545 Wh battery integrates into the frame and also powers the Supernova lighting system front and rear. The Bosch Purion 200 display connects to the Bosch Smart System, enabling over-the-air updates and compatibility with the eBike Flow app, Komoot and Strava.

Shifting is handled by a Shimano Nexus Inter-5E internal hub paired with a KMC X1 chain — five gears you can change while stationary, with very little maintenance required over time. The SR Suntour Mobie A32 CGO suspension fork (50 mm travel) smooths out cobblestones and kerbs, while Magura MT4 hydraulic brakes provide consistent, powerful stopping in wet or dry conditions. Security is covered from day one with an included ABUS Adaptor Chain 2.0 (130 cm) and ABUS Shield X+ frame lock.

Available in Aqua, the Carrie2 City comes in a single universal frame size with a fully adjustable R&M stem, and is backed by a 2-year warranty on both the bike and battery.
