Tern GSD R14

The Tern GSD R14 (Gen 3) is a compact electric longtail cargo bike built to replace a second car in daily life. Its patented MultiTruss aluminium 6061 frame keeps the footprint close to a regular bike while supporting a certified total load of 210 kg — rider included — to DIN 79010 standard.

The Bosch Cargo Line Gen 4 motor (85 Nm, Smart System) delivers up to 400% assistance, making loaded hill starts feel effortless. The Bosch PowerPack 800 Wh battery provides up to 144 km of range, and the system is dual-battery compatible (up to 1,600 Wh / 288 km) for longer routes or back-to-back trips without recharging. The Bosch Kiox 300 colour display connects to the eBike Flow app (iOS/Android) and pairs with the GPS/GSM Connect Module for anti-theft alarm and electronic bike lock (12-month Flow+ subscription included).

The Rohloff E-14 electronic 14-speed internal hub (526% range) combined with the Gates Carbon Drive CDX belt eliminates chain maintenance and automatically downshifts when you come to a stop — a genuine convenience when you're juggling kids and cargo. Braking is handled by Magura MT-C ABS 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes with 203 mm rotors, giving predictable, ABS-controlled stopping power in all conditions. The custom SR Suntour fork (1.5" tapered Chromoly steerer, 34 mm stanchions, thru-axle) shares the same 210 kg DIN certification.

Standard equipment rounds out a thoroughly practical package: Ignis 700-lumen Hi/Lo headlight, RearStop brake-activated tail light, lockable Atlas double-leg kickstand, Cane Creek Thudbuster ST suspension seatpost, tool-free Andros stem, and a frame-integrated USB-C port. The frame carries a 10-year limited warranty with parts availability guaranteed for at least 7 years.
