The Tern HSD P5i Gen 3 is a compact electric cargo bike built to replace the car for everyday rides. Its 6061-AL aluminium frame is EN17860-certified with a 190 kg total load rating (rider up to 130 kg), making it a genuine workhorse for transporting children, bulky shopping or professional equipment — without feeling oversized on city streets.

The Bosch Performance Line motor (75 Nm, 340 % assist) delivers strong, smooth power from a standstill and on climbs, regardless of what you're carrying. The Bosch PowerPack 545 Wh battery provides an estimated 56 to 107 km of range depending on assist level, and recharges quickly with the included 4 A charger. The Bosch Purion 200 remote connects to the eBike Flow app for personalised assist settings.

The Gates Carbon Drive CDX belt drive paired with the Shimano Nexus 5-speed hub eliminates the chain entirely — no derailments, no oily maintenance and little upkeep. Magura hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm rotors provide progressive, powerful braking at any load. Integrated lighting (Tern Valo Direct 190 lm front, Herrmans rear) runs off the main battery, so no separate batteries to worry about.

Everyday practicalities are well thought out: the AXA lock shares a key with the battery, the handlebar folds in 5 seconds to a compact 166 × 42 × 87 cm footprint, and the Ursus kickstand keeps the bike stable even when loaded.
