The Tern HSD P5i Gen 3 is a compact electric cargo bike built to genuinely replace a second car for everyday family use. Its 6061 aluminium frame, EN17860 certified, supports a total system weight of 190 kg — meaning you can carry a child, a full load of groceries and your bag at the same time without any compromise on handling.

The Bosch Performance Line motor (75 Nm, 340 % assist) makes loaded starts and hills much easier. The Bosch PowerPack 545 Wh battery delivers an estimated range of 56 to 107 km depending on assist level. The Bosch Purion 200 remote connects to the eBike Flow app to personalise assist settings.

The Gates Carbon Drive CDX belt drive paired with a Shimano Nexus 5-speed hub replaces a traditional chain and derailleur: no grease on trousers, no regular adjustment needed. The Suntour custom fork (32 mm stanchions, thru-axle) smooths out cobblestones and rough cycle paths, while Schwalbe Big Apple 55-406 tyres add an extra layer of comfort on mixed surfaces.

Practical details matter too: the AXA lock shares a key with the battery, integrated Tern Valo 190-lumen lights are fitted as standard, and the handlebar folds in 5 seconds for compact storage (166 × 42 × 87 cm folded).
