Description

The Tern Quick Haul P8i is a compact electric longtail cargo bike built for riders who want to ditch the car for daily errands without giving up carrying capacity. Tern's patented 6061-AL frame has earned EFBE Tri-Test certification at a total load of 150 kg — enough for children, shopping or light trade equipment.

The Bosch Active Line Plus motor delivers 50 Nm of torque and up to 250% assistance, making short work of urban climbs even with a loaded rack. The Bosch PowerPack 400 Wh battery pairs with the Bosch Intuvia display, which offers four assist levels and a walk-assist mode for manoeuvreing in tight spaces.

An 8-speed Shimano Nexus internal hub replaces an exposed derailleur: gears shift smoothly even when stationary, and there's very little to adjust over time. Clarks Clout hydraulic disc brakes (180 mm front, 160 mm rear) provide the stopping power a loaded cargo bike demands, while Schwalbe Big Apple 55-406 tyres cushion the ride over cobblestones and kerbs.

The bike ships with integrated Contec lighting (50-lux front, TL-335 rear), an Atlas Q rack rated to 50 kg and an UpperDeck platform for bulky loads. Vertical parking capability makes it a practical choice for apartments or narrow storage spaces.
