Description
The Brompton G Line 8-speed in Traildust White is the brand's most versatile folding bike to date. Its 20-inch (406 mm) wheels fitted with Schwalbe G-One All Round 54-406 tyres — 2.1 inches wide with a tanwall sidewall — give it a road presence and off-road capability that sets it apart from classic Brompton models.
Gearing is handled by a Shimano Alfine 8-speed internally geared hub with a 307% total range, operated via a Microshift lever. Because all the shifting mechanism is sealed inside the hub, there's no exposed derailleur to knock or adjust — a meaningful advantage for riders who want to hop on and ride without fuss. The forged 6061 aluminium crankset with integrated chainring guard keeps the drivetrain tidy and protected.
Braking comes from Tektro hydraulic disc brakes paired with TRP Center Lock 140 mm rotors at both ends, using flat-mount standards. Hydraulic disc brakes provide consistent and progressive stopping power regardless of wet or muddy conditions — a genuine upgrade over rim brakes in urban and mixed-terrain use. The aluminium fork features mounting bosses for future accessory compatibility.
The main frame is hand-brazed steel, backed by a 7-year warranty upon registration. The included Roller Frame means you can wheel the folded bike (72 × 67 × 41 cm) through a train station or office hallway without carrying it. Three sizes cover riders from 152 cm to 198 cm, each with a seatpost matched to the frame size.
