The Brompton C-Line is built by hand at Brompton's Greenford factory in London — a tradition that dates back to 1975. The heat-treated steel frame is assembled using manual brazing techniques, giving it a level of stiffness and longevity that sets it apart from most folding bikes on the market. The 7-year frame warranty is a straightforward sign of that confidence.

The 12-speed Brompton drivetrain pairs a 3-speed internal hub with a 4-sprocket external cassette, delivering a 402% gear range. In practical terms, you get a low enough gear to start moving on a hill and a high enough gear to cruise comfortably at speed on the flat — without ever spinning out.

The M-type handlebar provides an upright, relaxed riding position well suited to daily commuting. The integrated roller wheels under the folded frame let you roll the bike along the ground like carry-on luggage — a genuine advantage in train stations, airports or long corridors. Advanced Mudguards come fitted as standard, keeping road spray off you in wet conditions.

This model weighs approximately 13 kg — reasonable for a fully equipped steel folder with mudguards and a 12-speed transmission. The Schwalbe Marathon Racer 349 × 35C tyres strike a solid balance between comfort, grip and puncture resistance for everyday use.
