Giant Anthem Advanced Pro 29 2

The Giant Anthem Advanced Pro 29 2 is a full-suspension cross-country mountain bike designed around one core idea: go fast on XC trails without carrying extra weight. The frame uses Advanced-Grade Composite carbon in a modified monocoque construction — front and rear triangles both in carbon — keeping the whole package light while staying stiff where it matters for pedalling efficiency. The Giant XCR 2 Carbon 29-inch wheels are tubeless-ready, meaning you can run lower tyre pressures for better grip and fewer punctures.

Suspension comes from a Fox 34 Float SC Performance Remote fork (110mm travel) paired with a Fox Float DPS Performance Elite rear shock (100mm travel), both custom-tuned by Giant specifically for this bike. That moderate travel is intentional: it takes the edge off rough sections while keeping the pedalling platform efficient — exactly what XC racing demands. A remote lockout on the fork lets you firm things up on smooth climbs without taking your hand off the bar.

The drivetrain is a Shimano SLX 1x12 setup (RD-M7100 derailleur, M7100 shifter, 10-51t cassette, KMC X-12 chain) with a 32t chainring. One ring, twelve gears, simple and reliable — covering everything from power climbs to fast descents. Stopping power comes from Shimano Deore BR-M6100 hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors up front and 160mm at the rear for consistent, modulated braking.

The Giant Contact Switch dropper post is included as standard (125mm travel in S/M, 150mm in L/XL) — a feature that makes a real difference when the trail drops away. The Fi'zi:k Antares R7 saddle and 760mm alloy bar round out a well-matched spec for a competitive XC bike.
