Description
The Cube Kathmandu EXC is a versatile trekking bike built for riders who want one machine for the daily commute and weekend adventures alike. Its Superlite 6061 double-butted aluminium frame — heat-treated and finished with Smooth Welding — keeps things light and stiff where it matters. A tapered head tube and rear thru-axle sharpen steering precision and handling confidence.
The SR Suntour NCX32 E LO Air fork with 63 mm of travel takes the edge off cobblestones and dirt tracks, while Schwalbe Marathon Mondial tyres in 47 mm width add a second layer of comfort and serious puncture protection. The result is a bike that feels at home on tarmac, gravel and packed dirt without feeling sluggish in any of them.
The Shimano Cues 2x11 groupset provides 22 gear combinations spanning a wide range — handy when climbing with a loaded rack, and nimble enough for urban riding. Stopping power comes from Shimano BR-MT200/UR300 hydraulic disc brakes (160 mm front rotor, 180 mm rear), offering smooth, progressive braking regardless of conditions.
Ready to ride from day one: the Kathmandu EXC ships with a Cube Integrated Carrier 3.0 rack, mudguards, kickstand and integrated lighting. Internal cable routing through the down tube keeps the cockpit tidy and protects cables from the elements. Available in pea'n'grey.
