Description
The Cube Kathmandu EXC in its trapeze (low-step) frame is a capable trekking bike built for riders who use their bicycle every day and want the freedom to head out on longer trips at the weekend. The double-butted Superlite aluminium frame is easy to step through, and its integrated rack system (IC 3.0) is built directly into the frame structure — a cleaner, more stable way to carry luggage than bolting on a standard rack.
The SR Suntour NCX32 E LO Air fork with 63 mm of pneumatic travel takes the edge off rough surfaces, making urban riding noticeably more comfortable. Shimano BR-MT200/UR300 hydraulic disc brakes (180/160 mm) provide reliable, modulated braking regardless of conditions, while the Schwalbe Marathon Mondial Pro 47 mm tyres — a benchmark for puncture resistance — roll smoothly on tarmac and cope well on unpaved paths.
The Shimano Cues 2x11-speed groupset (46x32T crankset, 11-45T cassette) offers 22 gears with a wide range that makes loaded climbing manageable. Hub dynamo lighting, full-length mudguards and a kickstand come fitted as standard. Available in three sizes (XS, S, M), weighing 16.3 kg.
