Description

The Tern HSD S9i Gen3 is a compact electric cargo bike built for the city: barely longer than a regular bike, it still carries one child or one adult passenger and up to 190 kg total load. Its 20-inch wheels keep the centre of gravity low, making it nimble in traffic and easy to fit in a lift.

Assistance comes from the Bosch Performance Line PX motor (up to 90 Nm, 600% assist), powered by a Bosch PowerPack 545 Wh battery for 56 to 103 km of range depending on use. The Bosch Kiox 300 display and its LED remote connect to the eBike Flow app, while the Bosch Connect module adds GPS tracking and an anti-theft alarm.

The drivetrain pairs the 3x3 NINE 9-speed hub (554% gear range) with a Gates Carbon Drive CDX belt: no chain to grease, quiet and virtually maintenance-free in all weather. Thanks to Bosch eShift and the wireless 3x3 CMD shifter, you can change gear while pedalling or at a standstill, ideal for pulling away fully loaded at a traffic light.

For safety, Magura MT4 hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm rotors front and rear deliver strong stopping power, and the custom Suntour fork for Tern (34 mm stanchions, thru-axle) smooths out cobblestones. Schwalbe Big Ben Plus tyres with GreenGuard puncture protection, the 80 kg-certified Atlas H rack, Herrmans lights, Ursus kickstand and an AXA frame lock keyed-alike with the battery complete the package.

It fits riders from 153 to 205 cm and, once folded, takes up just 166 × 42 × 87 cm. Certified UL 2849 and EN 17860, the HSD S9i Gen3 is available at KAMEO Bikes in Basalt & Silver.

Bosch Performance Line PX - 90 Nm

With 90 Nm of torque and up to 700 W of power, it is positioned between the Performance Line CX and the classic Performance Line — offering the best of both worlds: power for demanding terrain, silence to enjoy the journey. Developed specifically for trekking and touring bikes, the PX is distinguished by its remarkable acoustic discretion. The engine fades away to let you hear nature, towns and paths - while being there, silently powerful, as soon as the road gets rough. eShift technology automatically manages gear changes to maintain optimal cadence, while Bosch ABS ensures maximum safety, even on wet roads or with heavy luggage.

Bosch PowerPack 545 Wh

Practicality above all. The Bosch PowerPack 545 Wh is the benchmark external battery for cyclists who prioritize ease of use. Mounted directly on the frame tube, it can be removed in one move for charging at home or in the office — without having to move the bike. With 545 Wh of capacity, it largely covers everyday needs and medium-distance outings. Positioned near the bike's center of gravity, it guarantees natural and balanced driving behavior, without weighing down the steering or unbalancing the mount. Fully compatible with the Bosch Smart System, it benefits from all the intelligence of the Bosch ecosystem for optimal energy management.

Bosch Kiox 300

Information, without compromise. The Bosch Kiox 300 is the connected screen that strikes the right balance between readability, compactness and functionality. Mounted on the handlebars, it displays all the essential data of your ride on a clear and readable backlit screen - even in direct sunlight - without cluttering the cockpit. Connected to the eBike Flow app via Bluetooth, it provides access to software updates, personalization of riding modes and detailed monitoring of your performance. Easy to use, it is aimed at both urban cyclists and demanding hikers who want to keep an eye on their data without complicating their lives.
