Description

The Tern Quick Haul P5i is an electric cargo bike built for riders who need the hauling capacity of a full-size longtail without the footprint. Its patented 6061-aluminium frame is EFBE Tri-Test certified for a total system weight of 150 kg — rider, cargo and passengers combined. That means children or a full grocery run sit comfortably within spec.

Power comes from a Bosch Performance Line motor (65 Nm, 300% assist), known for its responsive feel on hill starts and loaded climbs. The Bosch PowerPack 400 Wh battery delivers a range of 54–98 km depending on the assist level selected via the Bosch Intuvia display, which offers four modes and a walk-assist function — genuinely useful when manoeuvring a loaded bike through a doorway.

The Shimano Nexus Inter-5E internal hub means you can change gears while stationary, and there's no derailleur to adjust, lubricate or bend. Clarks hydraulic disc brakes (180 mm rotor up front) provide consistent braking force however much you're carrying. Schwalbe Big Apple 55-406 tyres cushion the ride on cobblestones and uneven city streets.

Day-to-day practicality goes further: the Atlas Q rack with UpperDeck system carries children or cargo bags, the Speedlifter stem folds flat for compact storage, and the bike can be stood vertically against a wall. Available in Black & Nimbus, one size fits riders from 160 to 195 cm.
