Description

The Tern Quick Haul P5i is a compact electric cargo bike built to replace the car for everyday errands — school runs, grocery hauls, or carrying work equipment. Its 6061 aluminium frame is EFBE Tri-Test certified to a total load of 150 kg (rider up to 120 kg), making it a dependable choice for daily use with a load.

The Bosch Performance Line motor delivers 65 Nm of torque and up to 300% assist. In practice, this means loaded starts and steep climbs feel far easier. The Bosch PowerPack 400 Wh battery gives an estimated range of 54 to 98 km depending on terrain and assist level, displayed live on the Bosch Intuvia unit. The display offers four assist modes plus a walk assist function — genuinely handy when manoeuvring a loaded bike.

Shifting is handled by a Shimano Nexus Inter-5E 5-speed internal hub with a twist grip: no exposed derailleur, no corroding cables, minimal servicing needed. Clarks hydraulic brakes with a 180 mm front disc deliver consistent stopping power rain or shine. Schwalbe Big Apple 55-406 tyres take the edge off rough urban surfaces.

The Atlas Q rack with UpperDeck system handles up to 50 kg. The Speedlifter stem folds the handlebar flat so the bike can stand vertically — a real space-saver in a flat or narrow hallway. Integrated Contec lighting (50 lux front, rear light included) keeps you road-legal day and night.
