Description
The Cube Kathmandu Hybrid EXC 800 is a fully-equipped electric trekking bike built for riders who don't want to choose between urban practicality and the freedom to explore beyond tarmac. The Bosch PowerTube 800 Wh battery sits fully hidden inside the Superlite aluminium frame, keeping the silhouette clean while delivering serious range.
Powered by the Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 5 motor, the assistance is responsive and natural — you feel supported rather than pushed, which matters most on long rides or when you're carrying a load. The Bosch Kiox 500 display keeps essential data — remaining range, speed, assist level — clearly visible at a glance, and the LED Remote lets you switch modes without taking your hands off the bars.
The Fox 34 Float AWL fork (100 mm travel, e-bike optimised) absorbs the kind of rough surfaces that city and mixed-terrain riding inevitably throw at you — expansion joints, cobbles, packed gravel. Braking is handled by Shimano BR-MT420 hydraulic disc brakes with ABS and 203 mm rotors on both wheels: progressive, predictable and confidence-inspiring at the weight of a loaded e-bike. The Shimano XT 12-speed rear derailleur paired with a 10-51T cassette keeps pedalling effort consistent from flat canal paths to steep urban gradients.
The Kathmandu Hybrid EXC 800 ships ready to use: Integrated Carrier 3.0 rack, full mudguards, integrated lighting and a kickstand are all standard. The adjustable stem and CUBE Dropper Post seatpost let you fine-tune your position for comfort or agility depending on the ride. Available in sizes XS through XL.
