The Cube Kathmandu Hybrid ONE11 HPC Pro 800 brings together two things that rarely share a frame: a fully equipped touring bike and a full-suspension chassis. The result is an electric-assist bike built to go a long way, on tarmac and on unpaved tracks, without giving up comfort along the way.

The front end is high-performance carbon, the rear triangle aluminium. Between them, a 100mm SR Suntour XCR34X-Air fork and a trunnion-mounted SR Suntour EdgeX 2CR shock take the sting out of cobbles, roots and gravel. In practice that means far less coming through your wrists and back — and a tyre that stays planted where a rigid bike would skip.

Power comes from a 5th-generation Bosch Performance CX motor, fed by a Bosch PowerTube 800 Wh battery fully integrated into the frame — enough for long days out or a week of commuting between charges. The handlebar-integrated Bosch Purion 200 keeps the essentials in view without cluttering the cockpit. An 11-speed Shimano CUES RD-U6000-GS drivetrain, with SL-U6000 Rapidfire-Plus shifter and CS-LG400 11-50T cassette, covers flat roads and steep ramps alike. Shimano BR-MT420 hydraulic disc brakes with 203mm rotors front and rear give you power in reserve when the bike is loaded or the road is wet.

The step-through frame, adjustable stem and dropper seatpost make everyday use easier, whether you're crossing town or setting off for a long weekend. Integrated rear carrier, mudguards, lights and kickstand come fitted as standard. Available in XS, S, M and L, in slabgrey´n´black, weighing 26.9 kg.

Shimano Cues CS-LG400, 11-50T

The cassette built to survive an electric bike. The Shimano CUES CS-LG400 in 11-50T is an 11-speed cassette built around LINKGLIDE, the technology Shimano developed specifically to answer the problem e-bikes create: a motor that delivers torque constantly wears a drivetrain out far faster than a human leg does. In practice, LINKGLIDE claims up to three times the tooth life of a conventional Hyperglide cassette under high chain tension. The teeth are thicker and the shift ramps redrawn to absorb shifting under load — the kind you make without thinking mid-acceleration, motor at full assist, and which destroys an ordinary drivetrain. Shifting is also smoother in both directions, with noticeably less shock through the pedals. With an 11-13-15-17-20-23-26-30-36-43-50 progression, it covers the ground without gaps: closely spaced ratios at the bottom of the cassette to hold a steady cadence on the flat, and a 50-tooth sprocket so you are never stuck on a climb, loaded or not. It requires a LINKGLIDE drivetrain (matching CUES derailleur and shifter) and takes either a LINKGLIDE or an HG 11-speed chain.

Shimano BR-MT420, Hydr. Disc Brake (203/203)

Braking power where it actually matters: on a heavy, loaded bike, heading downhill. The Shimano BR-MT420 is a four-piston hydraulic disc brake caliper, fitted here with 203 mm rotors front and rear — the largest size in Shimano's mountain bike range. Four pistons instead of two means a larger pad surface and better-distributed pressure: around 20% more power than the two-piston version, and above all power that doesn't fade after three corners. On an electric mountain bike weighing 25 kg before the rider even gets on, that is not a luxury. The aluminium alloy body sheds heat, and the mineral oil circuit keeps a consistent bite point in the rain, in mud, or after a long descent. The D03S resin pads supplied as standard deliver progressive, quiet braking; they can be swapped for metallic D02S pads for greater heat resistance and better wet-weather performance — both share the same shape. The post-mount fitting is standard, so servicing can be done by any bike shop and spare parts are available everywhere.
