Description
The Merida NINETY-SIX 9000 is a full-suspension mountain bike built for XC racing and demanding downcountry riding. Its Ninety-Six CF5 III carbon frame uses Merida's P-FLEX technology and delivers 100 mm of rear travel, absorbing trail chatter while keeping pedalling efficiency high. The BSA bottom bracket shell and 148x12 mm rear axle provide the lateral stiffness needed for direct power transfer.
Up front, the Fox 34 Float SL Factory Grip SL fork (120 mm) pairs with a Fox Float SL Factory rear shock featuring a Large Volume aircan for a supple, controlled feel. The 3-position PTL remote lets you lock out, partially open or fully open both ends of the suspension on the fly — no need to stop and adjust.
The Shimano XTR Di2 M9250 wireless drivetrain spans 12 speeds with a 9-45T cassette, covering everything from punchy climbs to technical descents. Electronic shifting means the system self-calibrates — no cable tension to fiddle with mid-race. Shimano XTR M9200 brakes with 180 mm (front) and 160 mm (rear) rotors deliver confident, modulated stopping power in all conditions.
A one-piece FSA SC CF carbon cockpit (760 mm wide) and Reynolds Expert TR 309 XC carbon wheels keep rotating weight low, while Maxxis Rekon Race 29" tyres (2.4 WT front, 2.25 rear) hook up reliably on mixed terrain. The wireless dropper post (150 mm) rounds out a package designed to perform from the start line to the finish.
